Giant Chair

Built by Olathe Parks staff, this oversized blue lawn chair is a playful photo spot where visitors can climb up and take a seat.

The tunnel and chair are both near the splash pad, same area as the human sundial.

Living Tunnel of Moss

Located near the Lake Olathe Splash Pad at Lake Olathe Park, this striking walk-through tunnel is both a functional pathway and a living work of art. The substantial rounded steel trellis stretches an impressive 50 feet long and rises 9 feet tall, creating a dramatic architectural element adjacent to the lake.

Each summer, the structure is transformed as it is covered in a new selection of vibrant flowering vines, offering a colorful experience season after season.  The tunnel becomes a breathtaking visual focal point that draws visitors in.

Designed and installed by our Parks staff, the space also features a thoughtfully added brick walkway that invites guests to slow down and stroll beneath the canopy of greenery. Whether enjoying a peaceful walk, taking in the lakeside setting, or capturing the perfect photo, the Living Tunnel provides a beautiful and memorable experience for all who visit.
